Air to Port B forces the pistons inwards, leading to the pinion to flip clockwise although the air is currently being fatigued from Port A.

Air to Port A forces the pistons outwards, causing the pinion to switch clockwise even though the air is being fatigued from Port B.
Air to Port B forces the pistons inwards, leading to the pinion to change counterclockwise whilst the air is being fatigued from Port A.

Air to port A forces the pistons outwards, causing the EPTs to compress, The pinion turns counterclockwise although air is becoming exhausted from port B.
